I'm trying to improve my images and in particular to remove unwanted noise when having to shoot above 200 ISO on my Sony RX10. I try to shoot bird images when there is as much sunlight as possible since the RX10 isn't good at low light situations because it is not a full sensor format camera.
The sharpening (or perhaps the clarity) is very high, too high for a pleasing image, in my opinion. That exaggerates all the contrasty things in the image, including noise.

Two videos from backcountrygallery.com these may help in the future.
Nice Photo! To be honest The noise is not objectionable in this Photo. There are various denoise programs available for post processing. They sometimes work well and sometimes make matters worse.
Here are a couple of videos by Rob Trek on denoise programs.
With a modern camera you do not need to just use the base ISO results will be fine when using higher ISO values. I do use ISO 200 on my Olympus for quite a bit of studio work but outside for macro I use up to ISO 1600 for macro work. There is so much more to consider than just ISO - shutter speed, aperture(DOF) , how can I get the shot at all.
I know I could look at your EXIF but just what ISO did you use?

200 iso is actually quite low for modern cameras. I shoot at 1600 iso frequently and get very acceptable noise levels. I use On1 NoNoise when I need to clean up an image. Works great.

Jeez - is he singing to you Great catch 🆒💎🆒
To me it looks a bit over cooked. Try cutting back on the Clarity and especially the sharpness and maybe even the brightness. Did you use the de-noise from your PP program? Topaz De-Noise is very good. Frankly if you try the above I don't think the noise is going to be that bad. Its a good shot.

I ran your picture through a trial version of Topaz DeNoise AI (the latest from Topaz); it took out all the noise. An older Topaz program I have, DeNoise6, does just as well. If it were a RAW file, I would have used ON1 NoNoise, which also would do the job, sometimes even better - it's not yet doing as well for JPG files.

What little noise there is could be from over sharpening? Good shot btw
