Love the 2nd and 3rd images. That is probably the way to do it, "tone down" a correct exposure instead of starting with an under exposured image.

I would have added something so it didn't look like it was floating in space...

Thank you, Carol. As for mastery I have aspired to be considered a Sensei ever since I learned of the concept while stationed in Japan. I' m still practicing to get there.

A dash of oil paint, even less filter gallery, lots of H&S and like most cooks I can't remember what else.
Loses some intensity in DL for some reason...?
