Am I seeing print pages below the crucifix? Love to know the story here. Photo certainly expresses the simplicity of faith. Faith is a gift of God. We don't have to "work it out", just believe. To be honest sometimes mine is strong and sometimes not. Holy Spirit will take care of that as the years pass. The foundation is sure, the flesh is weak.

Not sure, but it certainly could be. This image is the interior of a miner's cabin in Garnet, Montana, one of our best-known ghost towns. Back in the late 1800's the miners threw these shacks up to provide only the barest of essential shelter, choosing to concentrate on prospecting and mining the silver there rather than worrying about their residences. And being so far off the beaten path, construction materials were basically whatever you could find, scrounge or ship in! Walls were frequently covered with tin, paper and old newspapers... what a life...
