Is a Sony A7111, the only Sony camera that will not work with TTL flash? No prizes for guessing.

I really don't know and I am surprised that it doesn't although it's not much of a loss for me. But I think if the A7III doesn't support TTL flash then I think all of the A7's don't.

I have the Sony A7111 and the Sony flash. I haven't had any issues with it. I have used it with both TTL and Manual.

I think the question is not valid. My A7 lll works great TTL with a variety of flashes. Not only that, I easily set it up during a class through local camera store B and C Camera, when the owners of Nikon bodies could not get their cameras to work. I was able to help one young lady through her menu, but the instructor could not help another Nikon owner. Again, the poster is posting up the wrong tree!

My Sony a7iii also works just fine for TTL. I use a Nissin flash.

Which model Sony flash. Must admit I had used a Godox TT 350 Whilst the flash boasted TTL setting, it did not TTL with my Sony A7111. Thanks for your reply. Looking forward to knowing what model of Sony Flash I should have bought.

Could you post a list of flash guns that have worked TTL with a SonyA7111. I will then have a choice of guns to aim for. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Hello GrandmaG...Great GrandadP here. What model of Nissin flash do you use with the Sony A7111, that gives TTL usage? Thanks in advance for your help.

I've used the Sony HV43 (I think that is the name), and a bunch of Nissin flashes. The class I took hooked up a Godox transmitter to a Godox AD pro 200 flash. Contact a reliable retailer like B&H to purchase the correct product.

I have a Nissin i40 that I bought in 2015; but it has been discontinued. I’ve used it successfully on ALL my Sony cameras. Nissin now makes an i600 which looks similar to mine for $150. It does TTL, Auto, and Manual and a dial to adjust the strength of the flash in either TTL mode or Manual. Mine came with a case and a stand. Sony makes two flashes, the F45 for $398 and the F60 for $598. There is also an F20M for $180 which I had for my a6000. I wouldn’t recommend it for the a7iii.

Hope this helps.

I have and used the Godox TT350 with both my Sony cameras, although I don't have the 7III. Read the manual and check your settings...I find it hard to believe.
