Canadian Geese in flight

I was going to work and drove past a reclaimed orchard with a HUGE flock Canadian geese on the ground. Of course I grabbed my camera and stopped to take a few images. What I didn't expect to see was the entire flock took to the air all around me. Here are a few of the shots I managed to get in spite of my amazement.

We have a flock that summers on our North Texas Ranch. Started with a pair a number of years back. We have several lakes and they split up and raise little ones. We love to watch them grow up. They leave later but come back in early spring with a bigger group every year.

Congratulations and good shots. I prefer the first one with the sky and the few overlaps of the geese seem to work.

Nice shots. I've always considered seeing a mass liftoff of geese one of life's simple pleasures. BTW, "Canada Geese" is the correct expression.
