Very stylish car. I owned one for a while, but a simpler model.

Well captured. Studebaker was well ahead of its time in design and engineering. The '56 Golden Hawk came with the
Packard 352 CID engine and a 4 bbl carb. The '57 and '58 Golden Hawk came with the Studebaker 289 V-8 and a McCulloch supercharger.

Nice shots of a super little vehicle. As i recall, there were two versions, a Silver Hawk, and a Golden Hawk.

I had a '60 Studebaker Lark Convertible - Black with a red interior. Had a 259 and a 2 bbl Carb. Not a hot car, but no slouch either. A good car. The adventures!

That's my recollection as well. The first image shows the label "Hawk" on a bit of silver chrome on the car's hip; does that mean it is a Silver Hawk?

Silver Hawks were only built in 1958/59 along with the supercharged Golden Hawk, in 60 and 61 it was just "Hawk" with no supercharger until 62, when it became "Gran Tourismo Hawk." In 56 there were four Hawks, Golden Hawk (one of which I have owned for 43 years) with the 352 Packard and no "B" pillar, Sky Hawk also hardtop with no B pillar and the Stude 289, Power Hawk coupe with Stude 259 (I believe, don't have the book handy) and Flight Hawk pillared coupe with a six cyl engine.
