In your own words why do you take photographs?
Because I love using older cameras, 1930's to 1960's. It's unexplainable, but I like how they feel, their sound when the shutter is triggered, their results when I'm on my game. I like to take my time & consider the scene, use the hand held non-battery exposure meter, pick the shutter/f-stop combination that's just right, focus, & >presto<, in a week or two I'll know if it all came together. Lord help me, I do love it so.

I love your reason! I've never used cameras that old, and I mean no offense; but I still love the sound of my older film camera. And there is still something about the "instant replay" of digital that is uncomfortable for me. Everyone has their comfort zone! Some people have no use for all the waiting required with film.
I think it is an obsession now, I see pictures so I photograph them. I really am at peace when I take pix of God's creation.
because I can and I love it
Simply, to tell a story, to capture memories.
For me it is and has always been the magic if capturing an image in a little black box. I was introduced to Photography when I was 5 that was 55 years ago by a shooter for Nat Geo. The wonder in the dark room the anticipation of the Photo "blooming" in front of your eyes and keeping that moment you shot forever is still wondrous to me. No matter where you are no matter what camera you use. You can always find the Beauty, magic and wonder, keep it forever and share your vision with the world.
