This strange flightless bird has been visiting my bird feeder and birdbath the last few days. I've checked the bird ID websites, but as of yet have been unable to identify. If you know what type of bird this is please let me know.

The first shot says it all. What an acrobat! Really good shooting .Towards the end, I am not sure more seeds can can be crammed in.

They are not rare, the are very ubiquitous and are found in more places than you can shake a stick at.

The comment was meant tongue in cheek. Never had one in my yard in the 24 years we’ve lived here.

You really mean that this was the first time you had this bird feeder pest. You are lucky. If I put my feeder at least ten feet from trees, I have been able to frustrate them with a homemade upside down funnel on a steel pipe. By the way, I knew your comment was tongue in cheek and I wasn’t trying to disparage you. My attempt at adding to the humor was a little bit feeble. The photos were very good.

Gluttonbird, they show up in my yard from time to time. This incredible bird can eat 5 pounds of sunflower seed at one sitting, and never gain an ounce!
