I celebrate removing the face masks. I have tinnitus and being able to see a person's face when they talk to me helps me understand them better and of course not everyone speaks at a volume that helps me understand something important they may be saying....like, "The drinks are on me!"

They also require people wear clothes and shoes, I'm amazed that some aren't complaining about that too.

Of course doctor's offices require masks. They are exposed to many people everyday. What's the big deal of wearing a mask out of courtesy to the doctors and staff? I was at two doctor's offices yesterday. Both required masks. I'm still here!

With the advent of "distance learning" when students can easily attend a class online, the "snow day" is gone. The end of an era!

I don't think it will be employed on "a snow day". I may be wrong. Proposed school calendars will answer that. If no "snow" days are included, you may be right about that.

One aspect of 'work from home' that I think is still developing is the process of bringing new employees 'up to speed' on the company and its culture, etc.

I am glad that I retired awhile ago and can observe the changing work styles from the sidelines.

After changing our way of life for over a year, we're not going to see a return to the good old days as the pandemic (hopefully) comes to an end. From businesses to schools, things are going to be different, for better or for worse. Parents don't want their kids going back to school, and workers don't want to go back to the office. Home sweet home has taken on a new appeal, and many people prefer home to an institution.

The pandemic may end(sadly, I don't think it will be very soon.), but I think Covid will be with us, like the flu; you will need to get a booster every year.

I am up in the air about school...I think our children need the social interaction of school, but I can see advantages of home-schooling also.

People(adults) will have to realize the a family is not sustainable on unemployment.....They will be forced to get a job....whether it's work at home, or carrying the lunchpail to the factory. By the way, those unemployment bennies will run out, soon enough.

If some are trying to survive on unemployment, then the wages they make are too low. Raising wages might be a reasonable solution.

Discouraging to say the least. But there are still many who decline the vaccination opportunity. Hard for me to understand why.

I saw an article in this morning's newspaper stating that research has detected some brain tissue loss in a number of COVID survivors. This was determined by brain scans taken before infection and another after recovery. The report said the area of the brain affected was the area associated with taste and smell, two senses affected by coronavirus infection. That is just more evidence that the full impact of the virus has not been discovered and with the variants, vaccination is extremely important and necessary.

If we can just get rid of the face diapers! Every medical office I go to requires that you wear one, even though they are vaccinated and I’m vaccinated. Why? I’m beginning to think that you will need one from now on to go to a doctor.

Dr’s have been wanting to require that for their offices for years. Keeps the patients with the (regular) flu from infecting the office. Especially pediatric Dr’s.

If we isolate ourselves too much to avoid this Covid, we run the danger of not building up immunity for other illnesses..a bit of a catch 22 situation!
