Focus Stacked Image of a B.M.S.B.
I've been doing a bit of tweaking with my lighting setup and the extension of the optics of my rig and I use a familiar specimen for testing so that I can compare it to other sessions as a point of reference.
The specimen is a Brown Marmorated Stink Bug which is an invasive pest and unfortunately can be found in abundance here.
Keep on testing! I love the results!! Thanks for sharing and explaining. You have encouraged me to keep on trying. It is a wonderful challenge. Thank you!

...and they smell so good...
Looks good to me but, then again all your photos do. What differs here from previous?

Thanks ever so much. I enjoy sharing what I do and how I do it so if I can ever be of any help just drop me a message. Tabletop macro photography is something that can be done year-round, day or night, rain, snow or sunshine. It is also something that can be done by those with limited mobility as well as tremors and there is no concern of camera and lens weight. It also is quite inexpensive compared to other photography venues.
It also opens up a view into the everyday world around us in ways we have not seen them before. Indoor macro/micro photography lifted me from the depression of retirement and I challenge myself in new ways and the learning helps keep my mind both occupied and sharp.

Thanks for viewing and for asking. I made a "light tent" to place the subject in and I added a 30mm extension tube onto the bellows to produce a bit more magnification on the 5X objective. I placed pieces of tracing paper on the LED lighting to abate any hotspots of the lights shining on the light tent.
Thanks for viewing, Longshadow.
Thanks. Your the master at this!
