I have no experience with this particular model. But I own and have owned many pieces of Wescott branded stuff. Wescott makes some middle of the road light diffusers, and they all seem to work. I would not rely on just one Amazon posted review.
You tend to get what you pay for, and unless you are a professional who uses the softbox all the time, the Wescott 2334 may be fine for your needs.
Light diffusers are not just automatic; they often need to be tweaked and adjusted to get the effect you want. Generally the bigger and more expensive the better.
But, I've seen some amazing shots with someone carefully draping a white bed sheet over their flash. That's why it is more the photographer than his/her equipmenmt that yields great images.
Photography is still an art.
