What size is a 1/2.3 sensor?

4/3 and micro 4/3 are the exact same size. The difference is in the lens mount. Size is about 17.3 by 13 mm. It’s the smallest real MILC format I want to use. APS-C (Fujifilm, Nikon) is roughly 1.5 times bigger on the diagonal. Full frame is roughly 2X bigger on the diagonal.

GOOD NEWS for those considering m4/3.

It’s kinda sloppy to say that APSC is 1.5X bigger. It’s only about 1.3X depending on what you measure. IOW, the step down from FF to APSC is greater than the next step down, which is APSC to m4/3.

That’s true if you’re measuring sensor area. Crop is another matter. It’s complicated by the Canon 1.6X and everyone else’s 1.5X APS-C crop factor.
