I would look into differences in the models with the "i" or not. I think with the I have a little extra features for only a little more money. The did come out with a T8i too. I have the t7i I bought used as a back up to the 77D another camera to put on your search. ITS a little upgrade from the T series

The T6s is actually comparable to the 77D. It had more features than the T6i, and was one step above it. T6i is the name of the model that preceded the 77D. (Not to be confused with the entry level T6). I have a 77D and love it.

The sequence from simple to loaded was T6, T6i, T6s.

Look for D760 also, the European model number for the T6s. They are long out of warranty so you pay for service anyway and D760s came in as gray market and Canon will work on gray market for the regular service pricing.

I bought one for my wife early last year, a great bargain with 4 lenses and other accessories and she ignored it. Now yesterday she announced that since the Senior Center Photo Club hasn't been meeting for over a year I am devoting the 1-2 PM on Thursdays to teaching her more about photography. I gave her some lessons about 2 years ago and she now wants to learn to do more with both her SX50 and the D760, flash etc. Why the sudden interest, our special need son loves trains and she found a new model train club with a guy who teachs special needs people like him how to care for his trains and she wants good pictures of them together. (Jon is 29 with the mentality of a bright 5 year old.)

Before my lessons she was a lifelong "snap shot" picture taker. After a few composition lessons and a few trips to the park with some nice results: "Why didn't someone teach me this stuff 40 years ago?" I think my name is now "someone", but someone else" doesn't remember I tried and she just kept saying "You take the pictures." and then wanted me to also carry the movie(later video) camera and use both. Try walking through Disneyland with a 35mm and lenses and a movie camera. What, use one with each hand?

You are welcome.

I found the one I bought on Ebay. They have some ranging from $360 body only to kits and lenses right now.
Also look for EOS 8000D - the model number in Asia.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313&_nkw=Canon+%266s+or+D760&_sacat=0

There are some from the US, a few from Japan - I would avoid the others, like the one from Romania.

Perhaps I’d better get a used one from KEH or MPB. Adorama and B&H have used ones too. There’s one at KEH. Excellent plus condition, T6s, body only, a bit pricey @ 439.00.
What do you think?
Fair price being that they check out the merchandise?
Shutter-count at around 15,000 I believe.

Yes I buy from eBay, but never electronics. But maybe I’ll take a shot.
Some good deals.
Do you think a shutter count of 15,000 is high if I go for the KEH camera used T6s?
Thanks again.

The shutter is rated for 100,000 so 15,000 should be OK unless you plan on a lot of highspeed bursts of moving subjects

No primarily landscape and architectural shots.
You’ve been a great help!
Thank you. Enjoyed our conversation.
