crappy afternoon of the wind blowing 35 mph all afternoon, with 100 degree temp , but finally let up as the sun sank into the soup

A sight pleasurable to behold. But where does the Sun set in the South?. . .

Don't you wish that they could all be that crappy?
The only really nice thing about pollution.
A gorgeous takeaway from what I agree was a terrible day if it was any time recently. Yesterday while driving out for a hike (near Silver City) I couldn't even tell that we HAD mountains, the smoke was so thick. And yes, that wonderful hot wind. We hit 102 here today; I can't even imagine how hot it got in Las Cruces.
Ethereal aura latent within... superb Golden Hour rendering! So beautifully done...
Thank you so much for sharing gekko11...
Hoping for divine intervention to end the trauma NM and your neighboring states are currently enduring.
Please stay safe...
