After Amazon kicked off a dozen or more Chinese sellers, it seems that there is a new Chinese company selling tools - Teccpo. Yes, it is a catchy name. : )
They have a large assortment of tools at low prices, but I wonder if Teccpo isn't Tacklife or one of the other companies that was kicked off Amazon. It's easy to make a name change.

They are taking over the world... I recently ordered something from a company ad on instagram. There was nothing on the site to suggest it was not a US company. Then, I get the tracking info, and it is obviously coming from China. Checking the updated info every day, it went through a whole bunch of transit stuff, ending up in Newark, NJ.
It sat there for about 4 days, then all of a sudden, it was "out for delivery". I got the package yesterday, but the return address was a "John Smith" in NY...
Not complaining; it was only a small item and was not an urgent requirement, and seems to be quite suitable. It is just the whole hiding of the fact that it is Chinese which makes me a little aggravated.
I ordered some stick-on led lights from a company called GloRite. When I received notification from PayPal, the name was "GUANG DONG JI NUO KE JI YOU XIAN GONG SI".
I am still receiving daily emails from GloRite...

Hmmmm.
I wonder if this shipping difference is related to those "repackaging" job scams.

What surprises me is when I order something from China on eBay, and the return address is near JKF airport. That's a regular occurrence. It is definitely shipped from China. The world is a complicated place.
I have a cordless Teppco hammer drill and and from it's cousin company Popoman a cordless drill, a jig saw and a circular saw. All work great, However after almost the drill was acting like the clutch was slipping when it shouldn't have. I contacted the company and received a brand new driil kit with 2 2 amp hr. batteries and a set of fittings anda charger. The orignal seems to working fine.

Good to know. I had never heard of Teccpo. With all the money the Chinese are making, they should hire an English speaker to write their manuals and come up with better company names.
I have some cheap tools for occasional use, but I also have "the real thing" for serious work. They tend to be more powerful, and the batteries last longer. Before I buy a cheap battery-powered tool, I make sure I can buy replacement batteries.

I agree, and have often bought from Chinese companies on Ebay. They must be subsidized or something, as I have paid like $5 for an item, with free shipping, which I always found odd. Anyway, I have no problem buying Chinese, but why is that fact hidden? The LED lights I mentioned above have shipped, via DHL. Clicking on the tracking info, the package is coming from Hong Kong. Not an issue, except for their 'hiding' this from consumers...
Ever check products sold at Walmart for it's manufacture?
What puzzles me is there are a few brands that I believe are from China that sell the same camera equipment (flashes, cheaper lenses, focus rails, etc.) but with different labels and different prices. I don't understand that.
On the one hand they definitely under-cut the main manufacturers, and the quality is not necessarily that great (though sometimes its pretty good, I think).
On the other hand we benefit with adequate products or sometimes good products at a price that can't be beat.
I feel rather conflicted about it, but darn it I do buy equipment from China.
