This should support your camera and it's free.

https://sourceforge.net/projects/canon-eos-digital-info/files/

Is this your best contribution to the community?

If you want to be helpful, or even just a smart aleck, you have to at least be accurate. This information of where or how to obtain the EOS T5i shutter count is not covered in the camera's user manual.

That's not how it works for Canon EOS technology. Period.

Which of your Canon EOS cameras did you test and verify this idea? What was the shutter count response?

I used it on my Canon 60D's & 7D II before I sold them. I have since verified the count on all my Sony full frame cameras which don't seem to have any other easy way of obtaining a shutter count.

As mentioned above, Canon changes where / how / if the shutter count is stored with each generation of their DIGIC processors. Uploading a JPEG is not a valid option for a camera of the generation of EOS T5i, nor is that a camera listed at the site you proposed.

If you have a Mac you might want to try ShutterCheck or if you use Windows you can try freeshuttercount.com. Looks like both will work with your T5i

You google “tornado shutter count” and download its free version. It can give you the shuttle count for almost canon eos cameras. I have it for my 6d m2 and 77d.
