I just had a bad experience with an on line company. A camera, the Canon 7D was listed for $412.66, through Monday, only. I looked at the description and it said that all Canon EF and EF-S lens were compatible. Did not say that is was an import, (not that I saw in the description) and that you would need to buy an extra attachment for $399!!! After I ordered, I was sent an e-mail to call them to comfirm my order. They told me it was an import and tried to sell me the attachment. When I told them no, they then proceeded to try to sell me another camera, etc. Bottom Line, and I knew this, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!
Just wanted to pass this along for anyone who might go to a site and think this is for real. I know there are great sales coming up in time for Christmas and sometimes it is hard to tell the good from the bad. Just wanted you to be aware. I just hope now that they don't charge my bank account, as I did leave my card information when I ordered this camera!!!! No matter how old you are, you live and learn!!!!!
Your statement does no good for others if you don't say the name of the company....
If this is a real 7D you dont need an extra attachment. All ef and ef-s Canon lens will fit and most third party lens that are ef or ef-s.
Did not know if I would be allowed to name the company but here it is More 4 Less Digital.com. SplashPrices.com lists several companies with the lowest prices and this company had the lowest price. Its says the Camera is $439.00 and with the promo code you get an extra 6% off your order which makes it 412.66 with free shipping. The description is accurate for a real Canon 7D and says nowhere that it is an import. However, when I went back on the site it says at the bottom of description,Polycarbonate Body. Japanese Body. Hope this will help others!!! I really feel stupid, glad I didn't brag to to many people about this deal!!!lol

Thank you!!!
Your most welcome, and i would like to add, i think we, all have been there at least once.
The 7d is not a polycarbonate body. This sounds like a fake product. You should report this to your State Attorney General.
I went to the web site and looked at their ad.You might get a surprise when the camera comes. It will probably be the camera without a battery and lens. The manual focus lens that they sell does need an adaptor to mount on the camera . These are terrible lens. For around 100 dollars you can get a canon 50mm lens. You can buy third party batteries for 35.00.
If the price is less than B&H or Adorama, (just to name two good ones) by more than just a few dollars it is almost certainly a scam. Well, 99.9999999% certain.

Adorama, Amazon, B&H, Crutchfield, KEH - all safe bets and within a few dollars of each other. I don't think dealers are allowed to sell Canon or Nikon at low prices.
