Trump lost the election for many reasons. Most Americans realized that Trump did not care about Covid 's impact on their health or survival. He only cared about the impact of Covid on his election hopes. Also, his arrogance became unbearable as he alienated any individual or group who dared to question or challenge him on anything. Instead of trying to grow his base of supporters, he narrowed his base. Republicans like Mitch are left with a true dilemma. Do they dump crazy Trump and risk losing the cult members as a voting block? They have decided to hang onto Trump and his supporters for short term reasons, but this move might imperil their long term survival as a party. The Trumpian demise of the Republican party will lead to an increase in power in the Democratic party and hasten the changes that Republicans fear the most.

Trump never bothered to campaign for independent votes. He would rather only hold rallies for his kool aid drinkers so he could bask in their cheers.

Coal and Oil are big contributors to keeping ... conservative ... the old ways oil-gas-coal. The new world is metric, e-cars, power generated by Thorium/Uranium Molten Salt Reactors.

Realize what Nobel loriet Bob Dylan told us "Don't stand in the doorway the times are a changin"
It is time for the voters to stand agains the old ways...
"Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
The battle outside ragin'
Will soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin' "

Joe Biden was a young Congressman when Bob Dylan penned that song. 50 years later Biden is still in the halls of government along with Shumer 44 years, Pelosi 38 years, Waters 34 years, and Schiff 33 years and all doing much more harm than good for the country the entire time. Do you think Dylan may have been talking about them?

And I might add, Donald Trump was in government for a total of 48 months.

The thing that annoys, and frightens, me most about bidens election and Presidency are the following. Biden ran as a democratic centralist, and that's why he won. BUT he is governing as the most radical leftist ever to heve been president. If he would have run on his actual policies he would not be president.. Biden is a fraud. And that a kind word for Biden

I slightly disagree with your comment that Biden got elected because he appeared to be centrist. While he was portrayed that way, the reason he got elected was by election fraud and illegalities.

I just had to respond to this. Trump DID NOT cause the pandemic. And he did not make it worse. Were it not for Trump's response to the pandemic we would still be without a vaccine. At the begining the so called experts were all over the place about the seriousness of Covid 19.. It's very easy to "monday morning quarterback" the handeling of the virus. Trump acted early and was called all kinds of unpleasant things for his early responses. Could he have done a better job? Again a very easy to say yes. after the fact. But apparently you can predict the future. The first 3 years of Trump's presidency was a remarkable success on many levels. And Trump had the most biased press coverage of any president before or since. If you deny this yoiu weren't paying attention. Were it not for the virus and the changes in the election process as a result Biden would not be president. He is the only president to have been elected by a virus

You've been drinking the trump Kool-aid for way too long.

The technology used in both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines has been around for nearly a decade.

The ONLY thing trump did was to provide some funding.

https://www.pharmaceutical-technology.com/comment/operation-warp-speed-finalists-funding-initiative/

But we all know that Operation Warp Speed was nothing more than a campaign gimmick!

trump told Bob Woodward that Coronavirus was "Deadly Stuff" in an interview in February.

https://www.npr.org/2020/09/10/911368698/trump-tells-woodward-he-deliberately-downplayed-coronavirus-threat

No matter how desperately you want to support trump and his inaction, that inaction cost over 2,900 deaths by the end of March, 2020. But the worst was yet to come. Fast forward 9.5 months, and the death toll was up over 400,000.

The trump administration FAILED with supply-chain management when the put the totally inexperienced Kushner and his amateur buddies in charge.

The two presidents who both downplayed their respective pandemics both became infected by their pandemics.

What a bunch of disinformation, ignorance, and downright lies.

Operation Warp Speed a campaign gimmick? Did you fall for it and get vaccinated in world record time? Operation Warp Speed has saved and is saving millions of lives. Operation Warp Speed included a logistical deployment plan headed by Army Gen. Gustave F. Perna, the commander of Army Material Command, not Jared Kushner. When Trump left office there were 1.5 million Americans being vaccinated per day.

Whoa, big news, Coronavirus is "Deadly Stuff". So what you are saying is that Trump was smarter than Fauci at the time who said Americans didn't need to wear masks. Trump was the one who was right, all the time.

The fact is that trump HID just how deadly the virus was from the general public in February when we could have taken more precautions to slow the spread of the virus.

No matter how hard you try to support trump, trump was a total FAILURE at dealing with the Pandemic!

Don't forget that the trump administration lost track of those vaccine doses in December, and basically said "sorry" we can't ship you what you thought we were going to ship. Better luck next time.

You've taken the Fauci mask comment out of context.

I’m yet to be convinced there wasn’t massive fraud in electing him. We finally have the first real investigation happening in Arizona. The results of that will be interesting.

I do accept that Biden got many anti-Trump votes. Those voters had no interest in what Biden might do.

The thing that disturbs me most at this point about Biden is his stirring up of racism. Aided by the propaganda arm of the Democratic party, aka the mass media. Most of the other stuff he is trying can be undone after the 2022 election.

Gas up 50 percent. Groceries up 30 percent. Taxes up 15 percent. Income stagnant. These numbers will only worsen if Biden gets even SOME of his spending proposals. That won’t be undone in an election, but only over years of economic suffering. Had Biden just stayed mute in his basement, there would be an economic and jobs explosion going on instead of the tepid job growth and runaway inflation.

Gas is up because of the Supply and demand.

By the way, gas isn't up 50%, it's up by $0.50 per gallon.

On the tax increase, blame Trump. He signed an Executive Order to artificially lower taxes for Social Security and Medicare in 2020, and those repaynents are now due.

I don't recall any military experience of your careerist Democrat politicians.

Regarding Trump's tenure, not very bright are you? Trump served the way it was intended by our founders. Citizens were supposed to serve for a term or two then return to the private sector, not make a living off the American people for a lifetime. You proved my point.

What precautions would you have taken at the time? Trump locked down the country with a travel ban on China and Europe. That alone saved perhaps a million American lives. Biden and you called him Xenophobic for doing that. While Pelosi and Diblasio were urging citizens to celebrate the Chinese New Year in the streets.

At that time Fauci was saying the virus wouldn't affect American's daily lives and wearing masks would be harmful. The context was it was a noble lie he was telling to save PPEs for health care workers. But it was still a lie. Talk about total failures, Fauci supported Gain of function testing with the Chinese Communist Wuhan Lab that was responsible for the origin of the virus and he was paid a higher salary than Trump.

And Trump didn't Lie to Woodward. Not even the all knowing and brilliant instincts of Trump knew for sure the extent of the virus at that time and was 100% knowledgable about the future. Unless you would like to make the claim that Trump was truly the smartest man of all time.

Total failure describes your mental thinking. We wouldn't have the vaccine today if it wasn't for Trump. No one on earth was more responsible for saving lives from Covid than Trump. No one, period.
