When I purchased my Z6ii 3 months ago I also purchased a Peak Design slide strap. Although it gets outstanding reviews, I have been having difficulty with it. When I slide the camera up, the strap twists (90% of the time), blocking the viewfinder and screen. This is particularly awkward with the camera in the portrait position. I have been in contact with the company and even sent them pictures. They have been very cooperative, but unsuccessful in resolving the problem.

I have searched the net and found a strap called "Custom SLR Glide One". This is a sling strap that appears to have a dedicated ring attached to the tripod socket that slides up and down the strap. They claim this prevents twisting, which appears accurate based on the photos. I have never heard of this strap. Is anyone familiar with it?

I've used Peak Design for years. I have both the wrist and the sling installed on my D750. The only downside is that a special plate is needed on the base of your camera which means slight complications when using a tripod. But I love my wrist strap and body sling from Peak Design, very practical and safe.

You’re in the majority. Unfortunately it does not work for me.

The Black Rapid "Breathe" model will solve your issue. I have one and it never twists or gets in the way of shooting and is the best thing since sliced bread. Try it! You'll love it!

You could look into buying the capture clip plate:
https://www.peakdesign.com/products/standard-plate-v3

It let's you attach the anchors and is arca-swiss compatible at the same time (they have another plate if you use Manfrotto).

Would allow using both anchors and tripod at the same time. Hope this helps

Do you have the sport breathe or curve breathe? Does the camera slide on the strap with a dedicated metal ring. It appears so in the video. Also, do you have any difficulty with the under arm strap coming loose? In some reviews I read this was a problem with the newer models. Thanks!

I have been using Black Rapid for years both single and double strap and love it. Just make sure the strap is tightly fastened to the camera.

That is interesting that you prefer the Black Rapid Breathe as I have both the Peak Design & the Black Rapid and I much prefer the Peak Design because it is not as bulky as the BR. I use the PD on a pair of G9s. The base plates work well with the RRS lever clamp on a monopod and on a ball head manual clamp while still safely connecting the strap mechanism tabs to the plate. I still use the Opti Tech strap on a D750 with a bulky base bracket because I simply like it but it does not play well when you need to place it on tri or monopod. I haven’t experienced any issues with any of them blocking the view finder. Choices.

With regard to your last question, the updated models feature an underarm strap with a carabiner-like clip to attach it to the connection on the portion of the strap over one’s scapula.

The Breathe is a fine product.

I have used all the PD straps and never a problem with twisting. not familiar with the other strap
