I would like to see three new sections on UHH.
1 American Politics (this would clear the way for more interesting stuff)
2 Humour and humerous anecdotes (This is where I would start my day - at present the political people have taken over the stage)
3 Hindsight Photography (There are some [nameless] Hoggers who answer a question by saying they would have done things differently in the first place. )
Sounds resonable. Admin ?
Oh by the way, are posts going straight in without being proofed ? Seems to me mine are going straight in without proofing/screening.

Haven't they always been posted right away? I never seen mine be delayed...maybe I'm not understanding....
Nah, no new sections please, there's plenty the way it is.
I agree; there are plenty of sections now. If it gets too compartmentalized, people will lose interest.

The politicos will have to hush soon...or start griping about their new circumstances. The ones who would fill up hindsight are not necessary anyway, and the humor...I track it down no matter what. No more new sections, especially these....

I like these all, yes, yes, we need more new sections and we need more wannabe administrators to chastise people if they post in the wrong section. I vote yea!!

I've been thinking about setting up a separate section for politics. But I want to wait until the election. Maybe people will calm down then. If not, then I'll probably go ahead and set up the section.
more, more!!! never enough.

really really think you have it split up just right as it is...
There should be a "High Horse" section for politics, religion and general ranting and raving.

there is and you are now there!
I started this thread with tongue in cheek, I did not think for one moment anyone would take me seriously. Having said that, there really is a case for sectionizing the politics which is in the main American.
UHH is an international website, supposedely appealing to all nationalities. The current Chit Chat content is of little interest to non-Americans. Before anyone says "don't read it then" I would point out that the non-political content is of multi-national interest, sometimes educational, often amusing and sometimes Laugh-out-Loud-until-breathing-becomes-difficult.
How would the American members feel if we Brits wrote page after page of factual drivel about Cameron, Clegg and Milleband? You probably would start by asking "Who are they?" Then we would post a thousand threads trying to explain these grey suits, and still no one would know. Let's face it, we don't know much about them either.
Chit Chat is what makes UHH different to other forums on the web, if you only really want Americans to read it, then don't change a thing.
This is American (USA)Politics but this forum is not just for Americans. That said, the crap we do here has an affect on the rest of the world. Can't poop without craping on somebody.
