A bit of explanation about these pics, and a disclaimer...
Our local camera store hosts an event each year with many different workshops, and this one was on "The art of sensuality". One of our local photographers "Dixie Dixon" put it on and a local model, Roxanna Redfoot, was gracious enough to put up with about 20 workshop participants for the evening.
The disclaimer: while I took (and edited) all these shots, the real magic happened when Dixie's crew chief/lighting master Eric Jang set up the lighting for us. He has an extensive background and interest in lighting for stills and video/film and it really shows. Other than totally blowing the settings it would have been difficult to take a poor photo considering a pro model and pro-level lighting. His setup was all continuous 5000K LED, and included a large homemade "square" similar to a ring light.
Nothing too graphic here I just thought you guys might like to see them!

Well done! She is a pro, and it sure makes you look like pro as well.
Thurber, I would be happy to pass Ms. Redfoot on the street, let alone to be able to point my camera at her. You made great use of the lighting and model. Fabulous set of images, thanks for sharing them.
Amazing light control for sure, Thurber! Bravo!
Better than most of the other contributions we have had in here.
Great, relaxed model.
Thank you for sharing!
My first thought was that this was professional lighting.
Dixie is also a well-known Nikon photo spokesperson and has done many high-end fashion shoots. Seems very nice. Did she wear her hat?
Great pix. And the lighting....well.... Lovely model and very well connected.
Nice photos, all of them, and lighting in #2 & 5, but if 1, 3 & 4 is "professional lighting" believe I would prefer a non-professional.
All very good. I like to see mature models, they usually know what they're doing. Exposure and lighting are exceptional here.
