Really thought you selected a great setting. Your variety of focus first put them into the setting, then made them stand out, but still highlighted the area without it being in complete focus. These photos displayed much thoughtfulness and attention both to the desired product (looking good engaged) and also as a whole picture. Very impressive. The couple can also enjoy the symbolism of the mill.

"...Comments welcome..." Gerardo epic venue! Fabulous synergy latent within... You bonded extremely well with your clients! Loving the charismatic radiant smiles... Good Job!

Ok you mission now is to focus on booking their wedding event... Next the maternity imagery... and finally the new born pictures... This is how it works Gerardo... Clients for life... Its been my business model and same for countless other commercial shooters in your market. Carpe Diem!

Since you asked for comments I'm going to cut to the chase here.... While your Canon ER 85mm f/1.2L II USM is a much cherished tool... Maybe rethink shooting it wide open... You've missed focus on their eyes and most importantly the Engagement Ring... DOF at f/1.2 is virtually razor thin... like maybe an inch at best on the last image...

That Canon fast glass also has more CA than a 4th of July fireworks display wide open... horrific magenta halos around high contrast out of focus areas... On the downloads look at the edges of his white shirt in the last image... and around both of their upper bodies in the first image... Sadly if you had stop down to f/1.8 or f/2.0 those halos would have all but vanished...

Gerardo test your kit before you accept a commercial assignment... And don't believe all the vendor hype about shooting that stellar Canon 85mm f/1.2 wide open... even on the wonderful Canon EOS 5D Mark II that lens needs to be stop down in the presence of high contrast edges...

And yes it is possible to remove the magenta from the halos in Post Processing however there is no way to recover the lost acuity i.e. sharpness... it's gone, period!

Note: I've experienced the same horrific CA with my AF 135mm f/2.0D DC IF ED Nikkor... completely unusable wide open has to be stopped down to f/2.8 or better for good acuity...

Hope this help Gerardo or is at least food for thought...
You have a stellar visual statement and superb client management skills...
I'm certain you will do extremely well on your commercial photography journey...

Thanks. I see the purple fringe. Didn’t know that about that aperture. Yeah that say to shoot the wide aperture for what you bought it for. Maybe not. My name is Lee. I think Gerardo may be the person who owned the camera before me.

Lee you need to use EOS Capture which is the right tool to set the "Author" name (Copyright Holder) your Canon EOS 5D Mark II... I'm certain Canon's web site has tutorials on this...

As of today Gerardo Vizmanos is currently listed as the Owner; Copyright Holder and Creator of your imagery...
Not a good thing... btw, who ever sold you this camera was asleep at the wheel...
Believe all reputable dealers wipe that info BEFORE they sell a camera...

Yes that Canon 85mm f/1.2 is a winner at f/1.8 or f/2.0 and above...
Not so much at f/1.2 (blame the marketing hype here).

Keep shooting... you have an excellent eye for composition...
Cheers! Thomas

Maybe also pay attention to the focus point. It appears to me that the thing that is in focus is the shoes. They may be Engagement Shoes, but that's probably uncommon. It does show that the lens is capable of a good sharp image.

Wide aperture has its uses, but that doesn't mean it should be used for everything. Most lenses have a sweet spot around f/8. Diffraction starts to rear its head around f/11-16, although some lenses can handle it well out to f/22. DOF can be shortened in post, but not lengthened.

You should have an array of lenses for different purposes. Don't rely on a single lens. You cannot always use sneakerZoom at a wedding. Modern zoom lenses can be excellent for wedding purposes. (I was at a wedding Friday and the primary and secondary photographers both had 2 cameras, both with zoom lenses (different ranges)). The bride prep area and the groom prep area were 5 miles apart, so two photographers were needed for the preliminary shots (unless you can convince them to separate prep by enough time).

"...Didn’t know that about that aperture..." Lee I totally understand, lots of strange and inappropriate information floating around about that Canon f/1.2 lens... same with the Nikon 50mm f/1.2 AI-S MF Nikkor Lens which is soft wide open at 1.2 but razor sharp at f/2.0... And Nikon still makes that ancient optic, you can still buy them new at ~ $750. But you simply have to close it down a couple of stops...

But wait... Don't take my word on this... DxOMark is your friend here Lee... They have been in the industry like forever and are considered authoritative on lens performance. To this end I'm posting DxOMarks take on your Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM on a Canon EOS 5D Mark II so you can get a clear grasp on how to best deploy your kit.

Again I hope this helps Lee...
Please keep shooting and maybe stop down your epic lens to f/2.2 or f/2.8 to see how it preforms at those apertures...

Yes, first thing I noticed. The warmth of the shots is unmistakable, but the technical aspect is critical to the shoot.
