We are always treated to lots of these every year. They are fun to watch, as they will sunbathe on top of anything they find. This one took it's rest on the lava rock.

Excellent shot. Looks like is eye is open just a slit, maybe to watch out for predators!

Thank you, UT. I think the lava rock must have been warm as well as the sun. The little booger went right back repeatedly, in spite of my interuptions.
