Biggest gardenia blooms...

Tending to the previous owner's gardening efforts is taking alot of time... lots of clearing and trimming and redneck landscaping jerking overgrown azaleas out with chains and pickup truck. The gardenias have huge blooms... but are unfortunately located... I'll leave them for now and just get used to them... though I do enjoy their heavy, dark scent...

I hope so, Mike! Still have much to do but bunnies and squirrels (with whom I will have a discussion) aren't very helpful and every evening, "WhoWhoWho HooHOOo" from the neighborhood owl. I don't mind the owl but, Ozark superstition suggests owls hooting up your yard is not a good omen. We'll see!

I don't think I've ever seen such a large, beautiful Gardenia. Great shot.

Thank you, Sylvias! it's a five shot focus stack- 1/2 sec @ f/5 185mm- at that evening moment when wind goes slack, likes it's distracted by the changing light... trouble is, that's when mosquitos make their debut...! Always nice to hear from you Sylvias!

The whole bush is like that- blossoms a full five inches across with a brawny aroma to match.... I do like the smell... right up there with "White Shoulders" "L'air Du Temps" and "Obsession"... and "Shalimar", pretty heady stuff! But then, honeysuckle on a hot summer night is intoxicating, too...
Thanks! Carol!!
