Chillin' in the Keys, Take Two

Again, I'm not a "street" photographer by anybody's definition,
and I typically don't take images of strangers, but there are
quite a few people living in Key West that have so much
character, I did give in and try to capture them.

While most "street" photographs are in B&W, these particular
images would have been kind of, well, blah. The individuals
would have gotten lost, so by adding them back in color, they
stand out, and they should.

Hope you enjoy.
Tim

I kind of disagree with your statements. Both are nice shots and if you prefer color then why not. I am not an avid street photographer but when I shoot in the street I prefer monochromatic images.
In a place as expensive as Key West it is beyond me how these gentlemen can survive. I used to have a property in Tavernier Key and I decided to sell it. Property taxes alone made me take the decision. They were more expensive that my home in Dade County.

Good shots, Rolk. You ought to become a street photographer. Your technique is unusual, but it works very well on the shots you've posted. Your subjects are indeed colorful, and your technique certainly emphasizes that. Keep it up.

To each his own, but not quite sure what you meant by the first sentence, and honestly, I am not really sure why you went into property taxes, etc.

Not searching for accolades, but I respect your opinions, as I hope you respect mine.
