Non-Delivery from UPS

This is an odd one. I heard what I assume was the UPS truck yesterday. Twenty minutes later I went to the front door - no package. I checked the side door. No package. I received an email from UPS saying it was left at the front door at 5:39. I just filed a report with UPS, so I'll see what happens. I could proceed with Amazon, but I'll wait to hear from UPS.

I think I'll get a security camera to see what's happening out front so I'll have proof of what was or was not delivered.

You probably/might have a neighbor holding/in possession of your package?
I returned home once after several days. There was a rain soaked package on
my deck. Immediately took in inside and opened it. There was a very nice new pair of
black shoes? Not my size not my style? I then noticed the address on the parcel. Oooops!
Not my house! So I delivered the misplaced shipment my self. There was a surprised look,
and comment ("wondered what happened to these, & thank you")

I suppose that's possible, but I'm not going to ask them if they have my stuff. I'm getting another delivery today, and I'll ask the driver, but it's often different UPS guys. If it's the same one, he'll probably just say that he left it at the door.

If it’s UPS, you’ll probably find it in the street/road in front of your house lying in the rain - that seems to be the usual procedure here. And don’t even waste your time calling and trying to get through the phone tree to a real person, who if you finally reach, won’t be able to help anyway.

I looked out front and saw a man walking up my driveway with two envelopes, and I knew what was happening. It was my new neighbor delivering my packages from Amazon. UPS had left them at his house instead of mine.

I was just notified that my package from WalMart had been delivered. Nope! When I clicked on the button indicating I had not received it, this was the message.

Sorry! This happens sometimes. Please check your front porch, side door, back porch, garage area, bushes, and mailbox to make sure it’s not hiding or jammed. Also ask your neighbors if they may have received it for you. If your package still hasn’t turned up 24 hours after delivery, please contact us.

People don't take pride in their work any more.

Of course.

I've gotten two other deliveries from UPS since the mix-up. I wonder how long it will take them to get back to me about that. I don't see any way for me to contact them about it. I got two notices that they are looking into it, but they are both "No Reply" emails.

I have Ring doorbells, front and back doors, and a Ring camera. Never had an incident.

Check your tracking number. See where it actually WAS delivered & who signed for it. I was troubled with meandering medications back in Feb. 1pkg was in limbo for 10 days, another was delivered to a Macys store & I received the 3rd in good order. So, I nicely medicated until June.

When buying a security camera get a PTZ camera. Not wireless.

Same thing happened to me. When I checked with UPS, they informed me it was delivered -- to a post office in Bethlehem! It went from UPS to USPS. Since we do not get mail from Bethlehem, I knew it would be shipped first to the Nazareth office before coming to me. Yep, it took another two days to reach me.

I had a friend who was waiting for a package. She was informed it had been delivered. She looked everywhere. Finally after several phone calls, they told her they placed it in the back seat of the car in the driveway. It wasn't her car, it was a friend of her daughters who came by to say good bye before leaving on a trip. They called her and she said her car was at home, and wasn't locked. Sure enough it was laying in the back seat, in the open, where anyone could have taken it. You wonder where they find some of their employees.
