I will be spending a few days at Pickett State Park on the Tennessee side of The Big South Fork National Recreation Area this summer. Does anyone have any suggestions of places to go see there? Pogue Creek Canyon State Natural Area is nearby and looks interesting as well. Colditz Cove State Natural area is also nearby. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
The Twin Arches and Charit Creek lodge(similar to LeConte). Lots of great trails. If you are hiker, Honey Creek trail is beautiful(6 mile loop). Pogue is well worth the trip. Again if you are into hiking, ajoining Pickett is Hidden Passage trail(10 mile loop). There is an area just south of Pickett that is called a dark area. Great for astro photography.

Not familiar where Pickett SP is located. If it is anywhere near Breaks Interstate Park on the VA/KY border, you might want to swing by. Called "Grand Canyon of the South" it is fairly impressive at "The Towers" area.
There is a community just a short distance from Pickett called Rugby. This community was an experimental community in the late 1800's. The architecture is very interesting and they have tours.
Thank you all for the suggestions.

You'll definitely want to visit the Sgt. York birthplace and Mill nearby in Pall Mall, TN. It is quite a beautiful and peaceful place and worthy of photography. Be sure to go inside the mill building.
Devil's Jump on the river - you can hike to it. I ran the rapids in a canoe in 1964—what a ride!
