In my original post of White Pocket, I had inadvertently exported low-resolution pictures, so I'm trying again. If you are familiar with The Wave you can see that White Pocket shares geologic and visual similarities.

Fantastic Images. I heard of White Pocket a few years ago. It would be so great to visit but such far in the wilderness places are off my wish list now that I am pretty much wheelchair bound with arthritis. Road side photography I about all I can manage today. The most remote places I've photographed are Trona Pinnacles, Death Valley NP, Joshua Tree NP, Anza Borrego SP, Eastern Sierras, Providence Mountains, Rock Rock Canyon SP (CA), Jawbone Canyon, various places in the Mojave Desert, and Mount Laguna (E of San Diego). All places in CA. I have yet to make it to AZ, NM, NV, OR, WA, or UT. Places I would like to see. Yet there is so much in CA, not to mention the coasts and beaches where I now live.

These are great! Some of them look like a giant washing machine stopped by a fast shutter speed. I like them very much. Thanks for sharing these.

That really too bad, but you have been to many great places.

Thank you for your compliment.

Thanks. It's kind of hard for me to think of the Navajo Sandstone and water and then being somewhat plastic.

Very nice images.
How far is that from Kenab, UT and do you need a permit for it as well?
Thanks.

Thank you bbrown5454. It's about 74 miles. No permit is required. A high clearance vehicle with AWD at minimum is needed because of the deep sand. I saw a Subaru Outback make the trip.

Thanks for the info.
I will be in Kenab in June and its on my "list". I requested an SUV at the car rental so I guess I'll see what I get and then hopefully the weather is good.
I've heard that the sand can be deep and that a lot of cars get stuck.
Thanks again.
