I can remember using both of those tool.
The scythe is not too bad if it is sharp and the handles are properly adjusted to fit your body.
Again for the 2 person cross cut saw, it must be sharp but you also need a good partner. It is important to pull the saw straight and not pull to either side. If both lawyers do that it is possible to build a decent rhythm to make a straight cut. Personally, I prefer a chain saw but they are very noisy.

We found more hand farming tools that my family can use when the Green New Deal is implemented.

The two handed scythe we believe belonged to my wife's maternal Italian Immigrant grandfather from the 1920s.

The two-man crosscut saw (Misery Whip) was used by my wife's paternal grandfather and uncles from the 1940s.

The Milking Barn was built by my Wife's father in the early 1950s.

Great finds😁😁😁 Now, all you need is a hay wagon and harness so you can start a Green New Deal taxi service🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤑

Growing up on the farm I started using a big scythe like that as soon as I became strong enough to swing it. We still have the big crosscut saw in the garage, but have never used it.

I do not know about the hay wagon because I'm to old, weak and stove up to pull one very far. Remember part of the Green New Deal proposals is to eliminate cows and draft animals because they flatulate noxious gases which destroy the atmosphere.

(Flatulate is a scientific term for FART!)

I've read where one man pulls and the other just hangs on....doesn't push. Then the hanger-on pulls and other man just hangs on. Is this true?
