I think I heard about Pacific, CA. Isn't this where the surf has been washing away the cliffs causing houses and apartments to drop into the ocean?

Yes, humans have produced a problem by taking up living too near the Pacific Ocean. And the same for roadways. Natural processes thwart these feeble projects. News media typists mischaracterize these events as "tragedies" when in fact they they reflect the operation of Mother Nature.

Exactly, and it is a type of Mass Wasting. Water, wind, ground movement change geological features. Silly people build right on the areas of change for a view.
