Nice set, the shortstop should opening his eyes next time. Probably why he missed the ball. Looked like the runner had beaten the throw no matter what.

Not only does it look like runner had him beat, but foot was not near the bag. I think the eyes are just an unfortunate “mid blink”

Then it's a long blink, eyes look closed in 2 pictures. His eyes aren't even following the ball, especially after it went past him . The ball should have been caught or at least knocked down. If the CF wasn't coming in hard to backup the play, runner has a good chance to be on 3rd.
