Sleepy Anna

While walking the garden area of Central Park, I noticed an Anna's Hummingbird perched on a garden wire a few inches above the ground. I was only 5 feet from her and she seemed quite content, not at all bothered by my presence. Watching her, I came to believe she was actually falling asleep. She stayed there for a long time (for a hummingbird anyway) and eventually stretched her wings and flew off. Thanks for viewing. Best viewed on download.

Wonderful set! I note that the Anna's Hummingbirds at least feed then go to a branch and "digest" or just chill for up to 15 minutes!
