Primrose and pansy from my yard. Used different editing techniques for each one, Lightroom and Photoshop. Shot with Nikon 105 macro lens.

The original edited file before it was softened.

I love all three, Connie. The first has such a sharp center, the second is dreamy and the last is rich an buttery. Very well done.

This is a lovely shot but there was nothing wrong with your edited version.

Yes, that is what I thought you had there, but it had a veil or haze over it. I have used painting effects from Ps and Topaz and they look nothing like your effect. How did you do it if you know and remember?

Hi. I did everything in LrC for this image. Took down contrast, blacks, texture and clarity, all of which sharpen an image edge in some way and decreased color vibrance. I also set exposure and whites up a bit to get a lighter look. I like to experiment. I do use PS and Topaz, too, but like to try new things with different software. I've attached the settings for this image below.

I'll try an approximation of what you did on one of my flowers. I don't use Lr but ACR is similar. Thanks for the information. I might not even like it but it is fun trying stuff.

And the more you do it the better you get then most likely you will like the end result! Have fun.
