This is one of the several short hiking side tours within the park. The hike itself is a little over 1/4 mile on mostly flat ground with one stream crossing. This cabin was used by "cowpunchers" while tending cattle in this beautiful, remote back country. Happy Easter everyone...enjoy the day!

Thank you very much, Mike...I appreciate your comments and glad you are enjoying these posts. This old cabin was in a very remote, scenic location and would be great for a vacation home with a little tune up!!

Thank you, Joe. This was a fun place to get out and stretch again and let the dog run...would have liked to spend more time exploring the area around this cabin...corrals etal.

Thank you, Judy...haven't seen you in a while and glad you stopped by. This cabin was a first for me as I didn't take the time to hike out on a previous trip...it was worth the time and glad we got there this trip. Have you done the C.V. Loop? Hope to see you at one of the refuge's this spring.
