Very generous thank you, Blue's man and Sarge69
I have been snapping for about 6 months, and only just beginning to realise the huge requirements to get a good image.
The assiatance of the people on this site will help hugely in my long learning curve

I am no expert...Snap Shot Guy, here.
Image 1, I would have tried to get a little higher so that the poles are not in front of the buildings across the water.
Image 2, If the light pole and the other columns were the point of interest, I would have considered getting down low and shooting upwards. Don't know if that would have worked out or not.
If the building in the background was important, I think the foreground is cluttered.
Image 3. The way you framed this, I am wanting to see what is pass the bridge. Consider shooting from up on the walkway.
Doing any of the above may/could present different problems.
Just thoughts my thoughts......
I hope this is helpful!!
Good for you getting out early and shooting!!
Enjoyed looking at yours!!

Thank you so much Pat and all interesting thoughts for me to ponder
The idea of the picture was to show the "quietness" of the venice waterway at that time of day, with the Gondolas ready to go!! The background building a bit incidental.
The lamp was just a thought, as it looked like it was giving off the morning sunlight, as the sun was just to its left
But hey! I do not really know what I am doing yet, and comments like yours are well worth hearing, and will hopefully make me use the old noodle (for once) :-)
Thanks for taking time to post
Absolutely great photos, love them all. Keep up the good work, and post some more !!

I have trouble with composition.
It's a challenge, I struggle with all the time...
I'll look back and go, "What was I thinking?"..

These are great shots, It's very difficult to get pictures in Venice without hundreds of people in each shot. Great captures of a lovely city.
