These pictures are great. They tell so many stories, invoke so many questions.
Wonderful representation to the efforts of our fellow Americans. Every day, every week is difficult. Think about how you would live in one of these and only have a few months to do repairs as well as get enough food before the next long winter!
I don't know how my relatives did it in Scandinavia. And I can't imagine the personal courage and effort every day.

Very nice, Mike. Log cabins were built to last. Considering how old they must be and how neglected they are, it is impressive that they are still standing.

just love these pictures. with living on the prairies and north in central Canada, there are lots of old deserted buildings/homes/farms that could tell a few great stories. Good capture..
