Ai lenses are compatible on a Nikon EM. So, the answer is YES!

You are aware of the image you get with that lens? Plus, it is still one expensive lens. And heavy, and a lot of exposed glass. You can get much less expensive lenses that will do the same thing without the weight. Plus, if you have not bought that lens yet, it is very hard to sell.
Good luck and keep on shooting until the end.

Might be interesting to use that lens real close up to one of those crystal photo balls...

That's the lens Kubrick used for "HAL" in 2001- A Space Odyssey. Of course, he destroyed the lenses putting in the red light. I guess that upped the value of your lens.

Yes and no. Check out Ken Rockwell site: https://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/8mm.htm

"The 8mm fisheye oddly isn't really compatible with the FE, FE2 or EM. Since the sides of the image are black, you can't see the meter in these cameras! To test your own camera, put on the lens cap and see if you can still see the meter. On most cameras you can. "

Don’t worry about all that ... except for the vulnerable front surface !!!

The EM has no manual metering so you can use a bit of common sense choosing an f/stop and then never need to see the metering scale.

I like the EMs.
I like DOF, so I leave my cams at f8, mostly.
