Nikon View NX2 questions

Strange question here, I have used NX2 for awhile and maybe its time to jump to Lightroom or whatever, but I still have an issue I'm hoping someone else may have experienced...I used to have my center focal point bracket on my shots. One day its there, next day its not. I have no idea what I may, or may not, have done. Not even sure why I need it but I liked having it. Anyone else have this issue? Thank you in advance

Show Focus Point only works with Nikon RAW (.NEF) files. You can select Show Focus Point from the drop down menu or Ctrl-shift+F as GoldwingerTX stated above.

Nikon just came out with NX Studio. It's a free download from their website. I've just started using it. With Nikon software you're utilizing 100% of the information in the RAW file. With Abobe software like Lightroom, you're utilizing only about 70% to 80% of the information in the RAW file. It's because third party software makers have to reverse engineer everything.

Don't want to stop you from going to Lightroom but Nikon has released NX Studio...and its free.
It seems to have merged The old Capture NX 2 (loved it) with NX. Still has the U point technology that many of us liked but doesnt seem to have all the power of NX 2 but again its free and uses all the Nikon info. I've been using it and so far I like it. But I still use Lightroom.

I would go with NX Studio to edit my Nikon RAW data. The software has been made to edit that data and it will reflect when you print the files showing ALL original colors.

I use NX Studio to process my raw files then export in tiff and use Affinity Photo for and big processing needs. It is on sale for 25.00 at times and is very capable. A learning curve but many many videos to help. I don't like Affinity videos from Affinity but there are hundreds more by others. Best of luck.

Will NX Studio work on computers running Windows 7? Is it really significantly better than NX 2?
