Whatever it is, it is a lovely little bird. Congratulation on getting a new one. I don't remember the details but I believe someone posted the specie yesterday.

It is an adult Red-eyed Eastern Towhee (pipilo erythrophthalmus). Until recently they and the Spotted Towhee were considered one species (Rufus-sided Towhee).
