Are there any of the smartphone aficionados out there who have tried or are fans of using their smartphones for photography through a spotting scope, binoculars, or other telescope?
I’ve seen some wonderful digiscoped bird images posted here and there ... well, not here...
... and I’ve been giving it a try but am experiencing a fairly steep learning curve, particularly in finding a reliable adapter for attaching my iPhone to the spotting scope. I’d sure like to hear from others experienced with the technique!

I’ve got a 65 power scope, and if I could find an adapter, it might be fun to see what that would do with my iPhone 11. Something totally different.
I’m not at home right but when we get back I will look to see if I still have the brochure a guy gave me in Yellowstone. He was using one with his IPhone and showed me some amazing close ups of bears and wolves. His son owned the Company.
Following this...there was a young man sitting a few rows ahead of me at my grandson's football game a few years ago. This young man had a pair of binoculars and an iPhone and was getting some really good shots of the field action. I figured I was just too clumsy to keep the two lined up to be able to get some shots, while still watching the game...

Hi, ChrisKet (Cool name!)
Thanks for noting that observation of digiscoping in action. The first time I saw it was also at a football game, just as you did! Impressed the heck outta me! My problem has been having great trouble ... as you say... “keeping them both lined up”. I’ve tried several commercially available “adapters” and several home-made DIY versions, none of which worked worth a damn! Now that I’m in my ninth decade with increasing hand tremors there’s no chance I’ll ever successfully “free hand” my digiscoping, so I’m still in search of “the guaran-damn-teed pur-fect adapter”.
Hope lives eternal....

Hi, Fstop,
I’d love to see that brochure or get a web address if you can find it!

Dave, Here is the name of the company I told you about. I met a guy in Yellowstone National Park that was using this setup and his images were pretty impressive. He told me that his son owned this company.
