Wet Blossom

Went to the yard before dark and I picked a Dandelion that I had noticed yesterday. It was drizzling and the blossom had closed for the night and I thought that it would make an interesting subject regardless of it being closed and wet from the rain so I staged it for a focus stacking session.

Thanks, a weed is defined as a plant that grows where it is unwanted, like a rose bush in a corn field. I enjoy seeing dandelions and that they attract pollinating insects makes them important and even more attractive to me to have around.

Thanks, they close up in the evening which is when I picked this blossom and it had also been raining so it was quite drenched. By closing up they can self pollinate so they don't need to rely on other means of doing it.

Thanks, Donna. I doubt that you would want to plant them and there are many that curse them. They do play an important part to the bee population which can use all the help that it can get.
