Hopefully things are looking up in the garden..this is the first one of these I've seen for over 2 years...
Very small though, about 20-25mm total length..

Nice shots Ron. Possibly a male? I think they are much smaller than the females.
A nick name for them around here is either zig-zag spider or signature spider both for the “zipper” they put in their web.
I used to have gazillions of these in my yard decades ago but everything has grown around us from open field to 20-30’ tall trees and such. Now I never see them.

I always thought that this was a male..
