Went to a festival today and noticed this interesting fellow totaly engrossed in conversation, sitting a few tables away from us. unbe-knownst to him I took the shot. Now some might say I should have asked permission, however the shot is not for sale and a poised shot would not be so interesting, so I took the shot unannounced (no flash) and then cropped for this photo.

I have done the same, using a 135-mm lens, or a 300-mm lens, on a Nikon F2 film camera.

Yes, sneeky telephoto lenses. I did this one with my bridge camera. I did zoom some, (22.3mm) not converted to 35mm speak. Then cropped.
Thanks for looking,
Dan

I really like this.
The gentleman reminds me of the late Richard Harris in the movie 'Gladiator'.

Thank you Wahawk.
Yes I would much like to give him a print, however I have never seen the gentleman before and have no idea who he is.

Thank you Jolly Rodger.
Well it could be Richard Harris for all I know, but then that is not quite possible short of a miracle.

I like it but being a lover of B&W I do have to download it and see how it looks W/O the color. Let me know if you would like to see. Very nice candid.......
