Sync never finishes in Lightroom

I have been using Lightroom since 2015 using the subscription so I always keep LR up to date.

I have a smart collection for each year that collects 3 star and above photos. I then copy these and put in a synced collection for LR Mobile. Works like a charm. I can view or show or share my best photos right from my phone.

Lately, however, there are 5 photos that are still Syncing when I try to close LR. I’ve left LR open for several days and these photos are still not synced. Upon a little research, these photos are from 2016! I checked LR Mobile and the photos are there. The only reason these may be trying to sync now , that I can think of, is because I may have done some small edit to these photos recently. I know there’s a way to remove these from the sync function but I’ve forgotten how to do that.

I’ve googled the problem; but can’t find the answer. I just know some smart hogger will know exactly what to do. It’s really not that big a deal. It just bugs me that something is left undone when I close LR.

Consider the technical support chat with Adobe that is also part of your paid subscription.

Oh, I did not know that that was part of the subscription. I’ll give it a try. Thanks!

I had a similar issue with sync of 3 finished images...the exported lower res files that got added to the catalog never synced. I ended up deleting the exported images from the catalog and reexported them. If they are original images make a copy outside of LR and then reimport the copies after removing the original ones.

I don’t want my entire catalog in mobile so I created a collection that’s synced and put anything I want synced in that collection.

That worked. I checked under the “Lightroom Sync” tab under “Preferences “ and those five are gone. However, there is one file that says downloading under sync type. If I double click on it, a window opens that says, “Sync has not finished for file 307....nef. Open Lightroom on iPhone to continue syncing” There is no preview of the picture so I have no idea what picture it is and opening LR on my iPhone doesn’t help. I guess I just won’t worry about it!
