The Great Nîmes Aqueduct

Thanks to everyone who gave me lens advice for my jaunt along the 1000 year old Roman aqueduct in the South of France. The photos don't do the engineers justice - they calculated a 12 metre drop over 50 kilometres over ravines and round hills.

Camera: Fuji X-T1, lens Fuji XF 10 - 24, mostly shot at the 24 end. Light fantastic (!) thanks to a strong Mistral.

Great shots, and info.! My son just studied those in his 9th grade history class. Those Romans were amazing! (I Wonder why Italy is not called "Romania"?
