I absolutely agree with you. It might be interesting to see your great-great grandmother in this way, but to see your deceased child or your sister in this way would be heartbreaking.

Yeah, I've seen that online and on TV. That's not something I need. For recent relatives, I have video and 8mm.

EDIT: The video wanted me to wait for a 60-second commercial to finish!

And how would it be different from seeing old family Super 8 or Videocam other than you can now add people from before the family had movie or video cameras?

I think it's very creepy, but my wife wants to do it for her mom and dad (both passed many years ago).

To me it is very different seeing departed people in videos and film movies, than seeing a still photo of someone departed, being animated abruptly.
The animation of the people in these photos just does not look natural to me. JMHO.
