A blast from the past as we await the arrival of Spring......

What a lovely image. Some are worth sharing multiple times! And with my lack of memory, I wouldn't know anyway.
With our memories we could pass the same old jokes back and forth and laugh every time.
Thanks everyone for you your comments.
I love this one Dave......it's perfect for Spring Believers..
Excellent and beautiful capture, Dave.
Great shot and a good thing to view in anticipation, Dave. Gets the mind and eye all primed.

Congrats on having such a great daughter. I read about how the drug I'm on that is eliminating my cancer works. It's amazing! I think to myself, "How in the heck did anyone ever think of that?!" I'm glad that they did. I get the drug for free from the pharmaceutical company because I'm part of a study.
I have cheated death several times in my life. I'm will past the biblical 3 score and 10 years that we hope for.
Me too, and I thank all my Medical team from assistant to Pharmacist to surgeons on my Birthday every year! I'm a product of regular visits and early detection!!!
Pay attention, guys!

PS: I's seeing some stuff around the edges implying that some of the heavily funded COVID research might be uncovering new directions of inquiry in the Cancer Grail Search.
This UVa Alum praises your daughter and sends her A Wahoo Wah!

Thanks.
She was accepted to two other med schools but decided to contact some of her "A" list schools she hadn't applied to and got hold of someone who slide her right in to UVA on the strength of UCLA pre-med, having been accepted to two other med schools and a 98th percentile on the MCAT. But she is always worried she isn't good enough and not doing as well as other people. So she works harder and it pays off. I think she picked UVA partly because it is far from home and the kind of place she never saw growing up in the LA Metro Area on the edge of the high desert. It gets her away from too much Mom - my wife isn't just a helicopter parent when it comes to her youngest "Baby", she is an Apache Longbow gunship loaded to hunt tanks. She can't do it with our oldest - hard to over parent a guy in camo with combat patches and NCO tabs on his collars. In fact he worries about us - after all we are getting older.

I can't remember if I ever shared this this one in the past. Forgive me if this is a second posting.
One of a kind, Dave! Glad to know that you are feeling much better. Keep on hiking (and sooting)

Wow, somebody remembers me! Thanks Bubaloa. Yesterday I was leaving the house to mail my tax information at the post office, when my wife said she was going for a walk. I assumed she meant a short on our driveway. I expected to see her when I drove to the post office. When I returned she was not in the house. After a while I started to get worried about her. I got in the car and was looking for her but could not find her. After an hour and a half I spotted her walking down my trail returning home.
It turns out that she decided to walk the trail I cut into my woods and got lost! She was walking in circles and could not find her way back to the house. She was gone for an hour and half before she managed to spot the house and was returning. We are both around 80 years old and worry about each other. She said the next time she walks that trail she will take me with her or bring her cell phone so she can call me to rescue her. I designed that trail to be a bit of a maze but I thought she knew her way on that trial. She tells that over the winter trees got blown down across the trail and needs to cleared.
I know a young man that I will hire to use a chainsaw and clear that trail in the Spring so my wife and I can walk it together.

What a spectacular capture
The bird, the flowers, the colors, and the background are awesome

Thank you. In truth there was not much "capture" to it. This image was in my mind long before it hit the sensor. I spent years adjusting the lighting and reiterative attempts as I added each element that you mentioned.
The one thing I have not been able to do is get a male hummer so pose for me. I always seem to capture the less colorful females.
