She used to use Picasa but it’s no longer an editor.
I once gave her an old copy of LR but she couldn’t use it.
Any suggestion for an alternative?
Thanks.

I had a trial version of LR too and I never had the patience to learn to use it. 90% of any editing I do is with Windows Live Photo Gallery. It is probably the easiest software ever invented. It is also free. Affinity is not as difficult to use as some. Sometimes I use an older (Photoshop Elements 10) in the guided section to remove minor eyesores from shots. Others on here will have lots more suggestions to offer.

What computer system does she use. Apple's iPhoto editing software is pretty good for basic edits and specially easy if that's all your doing.

I know she has an iBook Air like my wife’s. I mentioned that. I think she might consider it.

The by far easiest to use editing software, with absolutely no learning curve, is Adobe Photoshop Express, which is free. It does a good job, though does not have the level of sophistication of the complex programs. It has a one click auto enhance, which in my opinion usually does not do enough. It has many and varied presets, which can be acceptable for some photos, but it also allows for specific and variable corrections which can do a very good job in the areas of light (exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, whites, blacks), color (temperature, tint, saturation, vibrance), effects (clarity, grain, dehaze, fade, vignette), details (sharpen, reduce luminance noise, reduce color noise), split tone (highlights, shadows, balance), and blur (radial, full). It also provides crop, spot heal, fix red eye and borders. It does not do layers. Again, it is exceptionally easy to use, and is free. I do not use it; my primary processing software is ON1, latest revision, which I find to be excellent in almost all regards - at least for me.

Nikon makes Photo Editor software that is a FREE download from their site. In fact, they just released a new one this week although the previous ones are still available. You don't need to shoot w/Nikon to get-and-use the software and it is VERY good.

Did I mention that it is FREE? As with all editors, there is a learning curve. Previous versions have books available for instruction.

I still have Picasa and it is still an editor. As far as I can tell, the only feature that does not work is emailing an image, but that has an easy workaround.
I'd be happy to offer her a virus/malware free copy of the setup file (for installation). PM me if interested.

The ACR section of Photoshop Elements is a simple entry point for the more complex environment provided by the rest of it. ACR provides basic editing tools for basic adjustments.

I'm not sure, but my copy is for Windows. It may also work for IOS.

Photoshop Elements 2021. It has three levels of use. Quick, Guided, and Expert. Very easy to initially use, and as your skills progress it can be a very powerful editor.
