Work Truck

Sorry, missed a step...
My father-in-law used this truck to deliver steel in the 1950-60s, on his farm in the 1970-80s, and as "yard art" ever since he retired it in the 1990s. Nature is slowly reclaiming it.

I took my driver's license test in one of those, 1967. An R190 with a 5x4 transmission and that big IH 6 cylinder gas engine that produced a window rattling deep rumble.
Good times back then.

You ought to see our Kudzu here in the south. Rumors abound that if you go to sleep in a hammock, you'll be covered in it before you wake. The stuff is almost impossible to completely kill.

This old truck's working days are over. We are now watching his elder care days. His future doesn't look so good.

Very nice shot, SS. Looks like nature has her tethered to the ground.
