Moved recently and finally pulling my gear out of boxes and stuff. Got a challenge question: I need batteries for the Bronica and find the original Duracell PK28 has been discontinued. I am having a problem finding a battery for the cameras. Anyone with Bronica and knows the 6V battery that will work with it????

I just purchased that camera and bought a battery for it at Batteries Plus. It's discharging very quickly, so I purchased another at Tempe Camera. Neither of them are the old-style silver oxide batteries. I read somewhere to not use lithium, and both places recommended alkaline.

Seems that silver oxide batteries in the sizes used by legacy cameras are being discontinued. I cannot find the 625 size in silver oxide anymore. I’m afraid it won’t be long before the silver oxide 357/303 sizes will be discontinued. That one was specified for a plethora of 35mm cameras from the 60s into the 80s.

Maybe one of our electronics experts can tell us why lithium batteries aren’t recommended for some cameras?
